Cooktown Bowls Club is involved  with many community-based groups and organisations and is a proud sponsor of community events and programs. Examples include:

• A 3-year sponsorship agreement with the Cooktown Amateur Turf Club
• Turf Club raffles on Friday Nights; and
• Cooktown Cup & Calcutta

DONATIONS

The club also supports many community based activities and programs through donations. This includes donations to following:

• Cooktown Re-enactment Committee
• Cooktown Discovery Association
• Cooktown Swimming Pool – donation toward inflatable obstacle course
• Local entrants in the Cairns Cardiac Challenge - payment of entry fees
• Cooktown School of Arts – Art Award - The Cooktown Bowls Club Art Prize/donation towards the annual Art Competition
• Cooktown State School P-12 – Awards Night
• Lakeland State School P&C – Fundraiser
• RSL Veterans Health Week – donation toward event
• Elizabeth Guszely Gallery – donation toward security improvements
• Cooktown State School P-12 – donation to allow students to attend the Opti-Minds Challenge in Brisbane
• Local Student – donation towards attending IUCN Conference in Hawaii on conservation issues
• Local Sportsman – donation toward overseas trip as part of the Australian team
• Wild and Windy Festival Committee – Donation to promote Cooktown Discovery Festival
• Cooktown's Got Talent  - Donation to the Event
• Donation to Local Indigenous men to attend a language seminar in Hawaii.
• Department of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Partnerships - donation towards the Cooktown Education & Careers Expo
• Coffee Machine profits - 50% of profits donated to a local NGO on a monthly basis upon request
